Since I completely lost a day, I’m going to just call this day 2.
We had an extremely strung out meeting going over health and safety as well as logistics for the next few days. After dealing with that and the several students who feel that they must hold up the stereotype of loud, obnoxious and stupid, my roommate, two other cool guys and myself went searching for a restaurant somewhere in Madrid. Eventually we found Ginos, an Italian restaurant, which was extremely good. Eating at a restaurant here is much different than in America. Servers don’t pay you very much attention to you; we’ve had to ask for the bill each time we’ve eaten. Also, tips aren’t customary. They are more of a sign of respect or a pat on the back.
